I hired this company to help remodel my duplex and I was very well surprised. Sam came over and assessed whether I could remove some walls from the old building I was remodeling. He was able to look at the plans and immediately figure out what I could and could not do. I was so surprised by the ease at which he presented the task which I feared so much. Sam was very helpful. He spent as much time as we needed to go over my parents 3 story home with an added roof deck, both inside and outside. We requested a visual assessment of the structure of the house. He both assessed the home as well as thoroughly explained to us the inner workings of the structural changes that would need to be made. He was also very engaging and personable. His prices seem to be competitive for the market and afterward he connected us with contractors as well. I would definitely recommend working with him.

Sam helped us evaluate our roof structure to make a decision about solar panel installation. Our house is 100 years old, so we were not sure what to expect. I really appreciated how Sam explained everything in terms we could understand. He even sketched out the detailed on paper so we could see what would need to happen to prepare the structure for solar panels. Because he is an independent engineer, I felt he was offering neutral and unbiased recommendations and options. He was not trying to convince us to choose one option or another. He was providing facts and explaining things that we would not get to hear from a solar company or a contractor. Sam was very professional and super nice. I also found his rate to be extremely reasonable for the time and expertise that he provided during the hour he spent at our home evaluating the structure and explaining everything.

Sam was so kind and helpful. We were in a bind, about to close our inspection contingency window for a house that had come back with a number of foundational issues. We were concerned about a huge discrepancy between the seller's estimate for repairs and the estimate from our contractor, so I knew I needed the advice of a structural engineer and Sam was extremely responsive and communicative. Sam helped reassure us that there was a huge difference between the two jobs, and we ultimately pulled out of escrow since we felt the sellers were unable to deliver proper repairs.

Known Sammy for about 4 years. Being in commercial, industrial, and government construction, I can attest that Sammy is there to listen to your issues and can resolve them in a cost efficient, safe, and speedy output. He picks up the phone and gives you full attention when he is working on your job, if he doesn't pick up the phone, he will definitely call you back. Unlike engineering firms that normally needs 3-4 calls before a call back, Sammy only needs one. I am also an engineer but not a structural expert, I can understand his engineering language, but it is best to have an expert be the expert and follow directions than risk thousands, hundreds of thousands, or millions just because it is easier.
